Strategy Development with a Leadership Team

A corporate group’s marketing organization aims to evolve and adopt a forward-looking approach. The leadership team has diverse management experience and very different professional backgrounds; however, they all agree that, given the various social, technological, and economic developments, a new direction and the development of the leadership team are necessary.

Due to the team’s heavy operational workload, the process spanned approximately 18 months, featuring numerous development initiatives in the areas of leadership understanding, a culture of collaboration, strategic thinking and working, agile collaboration, developing strategic clarity, conflict management, change management, and communication. The leadership team jointly developed a purpose, a vision, and a departmental strategy. As a positive byproduct, the quality of dialogue, clarity, and decision-making ability among leaders has significantly improved, which has had a strong impact on the quality of leadership and collaboration within the leadership team.

Future Leadership Skills

A "larger mid-sized company" is evolving from an SME into a corporate group and is in the midst of numerous transformation initiatives designed to drive the organization forward in a sustainable way. Until now, executives have been left out of the process, but the employees and the content of the transformation programs call for further development. What will tomorrow’s leadership look like? What skills will be needed?

Key Challenges: Limited resource availability, management transition

Project Duration: 16 months

Key Results: Skills catalog featuring future-oriented skills developed collaboratively with executives; systemic leadership concepts introduced with the core group, leadership journey, experiences in agile ways of working, conflict management, awareness of systemic constraints

Development of Mission and Vision 

A telecommunications organization sought a unifying mission and an inspiring vision as a starting point for its ongoing transformation. 

Key Challenges: A large number of stakeholders and concurrent activities; the leadership team was spread across multiple time zones internationally and had to work simultaneously in hybrid workshops.

Project Duration: 3 months

Key Results: Intensive dialogue and a deep understanding of the resulting mission and vision, very high acceptance (9/10 points)

Digital Transformation Strategy

A global nonprofit organization was tasked with developing a digital transformation strategy to steer the organization in a clear direction and ensure that foundational structures were established to drive long-term efficiency gains.  

Key Challenges: A large number of topics and initiatives; prioritizing and focusing on the key leverage points

Project Duration: 7 months

Key Results: All relevant stakeholders were engaged in a structured strategy process for digital transformation; organizational challenges were identified and addressed early in the process
